Our home schoolin' days

We went on a very wonderful Disney vacation. We forgot about work, school, our dog and life's little worries in general. Now that we are back it is hard to get back into the swing of things. The weather has been quite dreary and motivation has been low. Our school "work" has been put off or done at a minimum.

That being said- I love homeschooling! We can take breaks and have bad weeks and it isn't held against the kids. They worked so hard through the winter that this break isn't hurting them at all. They also worked hard through the normal Spring break. Our kiddos are doing wonderfully. Am I worried that they aren't at the same pace as a public school? No. They are learning differently, not less. They are learning with hands-on activities and having fun. They are thriving!

Are we perfect? No. Our bad days can out number our good ones in a week, but that is life. We are not going to make a major life change because they have more than one argument in a week or because frustrations are running high. We knew that home schooling meant that we would be together most of the time but that is the point. Over all our family is loving and happy!
